Making a career in teaching

Hello friends
Last time I talked to you about choosing to study education,  am sure you are making up your mind already for the next u.t.m.e

Now let me give you tips of making a career in teaching
What is your discipline? at least we can start from there. If you didn't do education in tertiary level then you can start by
1. Doing a course in education ( maybe a diploma or PGD, masters)
      Find out from university sites what is required
2. You can do a Montessori course (it is a course in teaching) find out available Montessori study centres in Nigeria from Google

With little training you can apply for teaching jobs.
You can also teach in some small private schools without an education degree but to be on top of your game go for a teaching training and you would be applying to bigger schools with better salary. People will also feel free to leave their kids with you for tutorials at a good price.

There are lots of other tips I would share with you if you stick around. From interview questions, how to start being a good teacher and how to start making money in this long abandoned lucrative career.
All you have to do is just keep following and stay cool.

Choosing Education as a course of study

Hello........ Everyone, I feel so cool like a cucumber because
Last time I talked about making a career in education.
Today let's talk about choosing to study education in school.
First as a utme candidate you will have to choose a course in education when filling your jamb form online. For example I studied Accounting education.
Secondly, your most preferred choice of school will have to be a university where you can obtain a b/ed(bachelors of education) or a college of education where you can obtain an NCE (Nigerian certificate in education)
Thirdly, check out the jamb brochure to know the subjects you have to write during your utme exams. For me that studied accounting I did maths, English, economics and commerce. Then try to score up to 200 And....... You are on your way to building a career as a teacher.

There are lots of benefits in choosing to do a course in education and working as one who did.
I will tell you more in subsequent post and
Mind you it is no longer a female dominated field. OK for starts
how many male lecturers are in the higher institutions today? They are far more than the females and making money otherwise they won't remain there.

A CAREER IN EDUCATION

Hello everyone, could somebody tell me how easy it is for anyone to decide to be a teacher in Nigeria?…….Didn’t  think so.

They say it doesn't pay well, there are troublesome kids, and so many challenges. 

So if you don't want to be teacher, then who is going to be a teacher to your kids?

Teaching can be both a very well paying career, enjoyable and fun to do one too. 

Firstly for jambits how do you choose a course in education? Then if you didn’t do education and you love teaching how do you start? OR, if you did education how can you start enjoying it?
